End-of-Sale Announcement for 12-Port 1000BASE-T Line Card for the Cisco Catalyst 4000 Family
Overview
Cisco announces the end of sale (EOS) of the 12-port 1000BASE-T line card for the Cisco Catalyst 4000 Family. The affected product number is outlined in Table 1.
Going forward, all customers should move to the Cisco Catalyst 4000 Family auto-sensing 24- or 48-port 10/100/1000 BASE-T line cards. Advantages of the newer Cisco Catalyst 4000 Family 10/100/1000 BASE-T line cards include:

Priced the same or less than the old 12-port 1000BASE-T line card
•
Multispeed 10/100/1000 Mbps capable for flexible device speed on the same interface
