Cisco Access Registrar (AR) is Cisco's flagship RADIUS AAA solution for the service provider market. It supports service provider deployment of access services by centralizing authentication, authorization and accounting information (AAA) and simplifying provisioning and management. AR is a standards-based RADIUS and proxy RADIUS server designed for high-performance, extensibility and directory-integration.
AR provides greater out-of-the-box policy enforcement support, configuration replication for multi-server deployments and a number of additional features to simplify administration and troubleshooting. AR provides carrier-class performance and scalability as well as the extensibility required for integration with evolving service management systems.
AR 1.7 release, Total Wireless Edition, will support emerging wireless technologies such as CDMA2000, GPRS and WLAN 802.11x.
