| Cisco 7200 NSE-1 |
The NSE-1 is a services accelerator for the Cisco 7200. The NSE-1 specializes in accelerating specific sets of services in order to maximum feature performance for certain applications on the Cisco 7200.
NSE-1 is an excellent solution for Service Providers who are looking to turn on specific sets of features without experiencing typical performance degradation. The two applications where service providers will see feature performance benefits using NSE-1 are leased line aggregation and broadband aggregation.

Deploying NSE-1
The NSE-1 Services Accelerator should be used when feature performance is required for specific feature sets - as only the PXF services mentioned above are available for acceleration. Although all services available in IOS are available for use with the NSE-1, only PXF services are accelerated. When a non-PXF feature is turned on an interface, no features are available for acceleration on that interface.
When using an NSE-1 in a Cisco 7200, a network processor (NPE) is not required.
