The family of digital voice port adapters is a highly integrated solution offering a leap forward in voice-channel density and application flexibility. These single-width port adapters incorporate one or two universal ports configurable for either T1 or E1 connection with high-performance digital signal processors (DSP) that support up to 24 to120-channels of compressed voice. Integrated channel service units/digital service units (CSU/DSUs), echo cancellation, and DS0 drop and insert functionality eliminate the need for external line termination devices and multiplexers, simplifying network design and management.

The family of digital voice port adapters consists of four members supporting one or two T1 and E1 digital trunk termination.
