Cisco Systems is announcing the end of sales for the Cisco VPN 5000 Series concentrators, including the Cisco VPN 5001, VPN 5002, VPN 5008, VPN 5000 Client software, and Cisco VPN CVC Pro configuration tool. There will be no further feature development for the Cisco VPN 5000 product line, including no support for the unified client framework, no additional Cisco IOS Software interoperability features, and no dynamic configuration.

Cisco VPN 5000 Series customers will be offered a migration path to alternative market-leading Cisco solutions including Cisco 7200 Series Routers and Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrators . These alternative platforms offer increased reliability, improved availability, and greater standards compliance for superior interoperability.
