Alliance for Network
Security (ANS)
The founding members of the ANS Coalition joined in January
of 1999. ANS membership is open to other high-tech companies
that share the founding members' mission in furthering encryption
export control relief. ANS members will meet periodically
and informally to discuss the organization's strategy. A
Steering Committee will meet more frequently to discuss
tactics for implementing that strategy.

The American Electronics
Association (AEA)
AEA is the largest trade association representing the technology
industry. It was founded in 1943 with 25 member companies,
a number that has since grown to 3000. The association represents
a broad cross-section of technology companies including
software, semiconductors and components, computers, and
telecommunications.

Education Excellence (CBEE) was created by major California
businesses and business organizations to restore excellence
to California education. They recognize that a quality public
education system is the cornerstone of a sound society and
a dynamic economy. The vitality of our economy depends on
an educated workforceworkers with basic skills who
can think critically and find creative approaches to solving
problems. Those skills are as important to sustaining a
civil society as they are to the economic viability of our
businesses and our state.
California Chamber
of Commerce
The California Chamber of Commerce is the largest broad-based
non-profit organization in California. It brings together
a diverse range of interests from business, industry, agriculture
and high-technology. The Chamber directs positive action
on key legislative and regulatory issues affecting Californias
economy and the ability of California business to make a
profit. The California Chambers statewide membership
of more than 11,000 business entities includes employers
of all sizes and types.

Infrastructure Committee
The GIIC is an independent, non-governmental initiative
involving leaders from developing as well as industrialized
countries. During its three-year mandate it will pursue
the following goals: to strengthen the leadership role of
the private sector in the development of a diverse, affordable
and accessible information infrastructure, promote involvement
of developing countries in the building and utilization
of truly global and open information infrastructure and
facilitate activities and identify policy options which
foster effective applications of telecommunications, broadcasting
and information technologies and services.

principal non-profittrade association serving the Internet
commerce, content and connectivity industries in North America.
Formed in 1994, USIIA provides its members with business

The North Carolina Electronics & Information Technologies
Association (NCEITA). The mission
of NCEITA is to promote and strengthen the electronics,
telecommunications, software, Internet and related service
industries in North Carolina through increased public awareness,

N.C. Citizens
for Business and Industry (NCCBI)
is dedicated to promoting the welfare of every citizen through
