
- ADVERTISING: Total of $2.8 billion
spent by US companies on online marketing in 2000, with
$14.6 billion expected by 2005. (Direct

- ADVERTISING: Online ad sales jumped
from $1.9 billion in 1999 to $2.9 billion in 2000, representing

advertising are expected to reach $28 billion by 2005,
up from $4.3 billion in 1999, with the market for 2000
estimated at $7 billion (Jupiter Communications,

- U.S. ONLINE ADVERTISING: The U.S.
accounts for 75% of the spending ($5.4 billion this year),
followed by Europe ($900 million) and Asia ($500 million).
