CCNP VER. 3.0 NEW PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS Opportunities for Demonstrating Proficiency - CCNP |
|
In a continuing effort to be responsive to instructor needs, Cisco has extended the deadline to demonstrate proficiency on the CCNP English Version 3.0 materials from August 31, 2004 to December 31, 2005.
Demonstrating Proficiency for the new CCNP curriculum signifies that an instructor has shown that he/she has the technical knowledge and skills covered in the new CCNP v3.0 curriculum content. It does not imply that instructors have to go to any additional training. Instructors only need to exhibit their knowledge by either holding current certifications (see table below) or by passing the Bridge online final exam and skills-based exam for each Version 3.0 course that they plan to teach.
Options for Demonstrating CCNP Proficiency
- Take online final exam and skills-based exam for CCNP 2 Bridge
- Take online final exam and skills-based exam for CCNP 3 Bridge
- Take online final exam (no skills-based) for CCNP 4 Bridge

Note: If you are currently a certified CCNP on the "old" CCNP certification exams (640-xxx), please consider taking the CCNP Composite Exam (642-891) to upgrade your CCNP certification. If you pass, then you will be grandfathered for all eight Bridge courses (CCNA 1-4 Bridge & CCNP 1-4 Bridge).
If you would like to submit your Cisco certification(s) as evidence of proficiency in CCNP and CCNA bridge material, you must contact the Helpdesk and request that you be grandfathered into the appropriate bridge course(s) that is covered by your certification(s). The Helpdesk can verify certification exam results. To reach the Helpdesk, click on the "Help" link in the upper-right navigation bar on your Academy Connection Instructor Home page.
If you are interested in receiving full instruction on new content included in CCNP v3.0 curriculum, there are CCNP 1 through CCNP 4 bridge training sessions with full instruction available through CATCs (training fee required). The exams are given by the CATCs after each instructional session. To register for these classes go through the usual training registration path on your "Learn" section of the Instructor Home page in Academy Connection, click on "Register for Training" and make the desired selections.
If you have any questions, please use the "Help" link in the upper-right corner of Academy Connection. |
