Edit Your Profile

When you log in to Get Partner Access, if you already have the access level granted by the tool you will be sent to Partner Information Management, where you will have the option to update your partner database profile.

Click on the "My Partner Database Profile" link.

You will see a screen that shows the personal and company information the partner database contains about you. Many of the fields on the edit profile form are required, such as your name, job title, location, address, city, country, postal code, phone, e-mail, and preferred language. If you want to change any of the information on this form, all these fields must be completed or the form will not accept your changes (even if the information was not there when you first came into the form). You can press the "Back" button at any time and your changes will not be saved.

For more information, see the information section that matches the red number on the image below for more information on that specific section.

1. Clicking on the 'Merge Cisco.com User IDs' link will show you if you have more than one Cisco.com User ID. If so, you will be able to either merge or remove them from your profile if they are associated to you by error.

1. This is the Cisco.com User ID you logged in with. Any actions you take, such as updating your personal information or merging an extra Cisco.com User ID, will be performed on this ID.

2. This is the additional Cisco.com User ID you have in the system. You may choose to merge this with your current ID or remove it if it is associated with you in error.

3. If you choose the 'Merge' option, the ID in the row below (shown as #2) will be merged into the current ID and any qualifications, contracts, or other information for that Cisco.com User ID will be merged into your current ID. The personal information (such as address) will remain the same for the current ID even if that information in the merged ID is different. The other ID (not the current one) will then be deleted.

4. If additional Cisco.com ID(s) do not belong to you, simply select 'This is not my ID' and the association to you will be removed.

If you have do not have more then one Cisco.com User ID, you will see a screen that only shows your current Cisco.com User ID. Because you only have one Cisco.com User ID, you do not need to take any action at this point and can choose the 'Back' button to return to your profile.

2. The 'Other Attributes' section shows information about you and your relationship to your company and to Cisco. This information cannot be changed from within your profile. Go to Partner E-Support for help in updating any incorrect information.

You can see the individual certifications listed under your name in the Cisco Partner database, the roles and responsibilities you have, and how your company is applying your skills towards Cisco Partner Certification and Specialization. Depending on your company status and your personal information, there may be more or less information on this screen.

3. If you have moved to a different location or are at the wrong location, choose the 'Move to a different location' link.

You are required to choose a location from a list that have been registered in the Channel Partner Application by the application author and may not reflect all location or sites for your company. If your location or site is not listed, please choose the one closest to your actual location. You can contact your CAM or the partner administrator from your company later to get your location registered. You can then update your partner database profile to indicate the correct location after it is added to the drop-down menu, but for now, simply choose the closest location.

If your company has multiple locations, you will see a list below 'Your Current Location' with checkboxes next to those you can move to. Simply click the checkbox next to your new location, then click the 'Submit' button and your location will be updated when you return to your profile. If your location does not appear here, check Partner E-Support to find out how to add or edit locations.

4. You may enter an alternate mailing address to your official company. Users located in countries in Europe, Africa, or the Middle East will not see this screen for privacy purposes.

5. You may choose to subscribe or unsubscribe to Cisco Channel newsletters and other alerts and publications here. The types of publications you see will vary according to your region.

When you have entered or changed the required information , click the "Save" button. You will be taken back to the Partner Information Management screen..
