Charles Giancarlo holds several key roles at Cisco. He leads or co-leads four groups in the Cisco development organization, including a team for one of Cisco's core technologies, Network Switching, as well as three for Advanced Technologies: Security, Voice, and Storage Networking. Under his direction, Cisco is continuing to focus significant resources on technology innovation and execution. Giancarlo also co-chairs the Cisco Enterprise Business Council and is responsible for developing and executing Cisco's business strategies for this important customer segment. development of an enterprise network architecture - Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data).
During his tenure, the Enterprise Line of Business grew to represent 50% of Cisco's revenue and profit.
