Partner Summit 2005

Do I have to pay for my own travel and accommodations?
Yes, you are responsible for paying for your transportation to the event and for your hotel accommodations. Please see the Travel & Hotel Information section for hotel and airfare rates.

What are the passport/visa requirements?
Each country has different requirements. Please visit http://www.cic.gc.ca. This site will display all countries and territories that require passport/visa. We suggest you contact your local consulate or embassy to inquire whether a passport and/or visa are required for your travel to the United States.

If I need a visa invitation letter, where do I get one from?
Please contact the Partner Summit Registration Team and they will be happy to send one to you.

The following information is needed in order to Prepare a Visa Invitation Letter:

  1. Your name as it appears on your passport
  2. Passport Number
  3. Passport Expiration date
  4. Your country of Origin
  5. Your Fax Number
  6. Full address of your Local Canadian Embassy/Consulate
  7. Fax Number of your Local Canadian Embassy/Consulate

Upon receipt of the above information, a copy will be faxed to you for your verification. Upon receipt of your verification of all information, we will fax this document to the Canadian Embassy/Consulate.

Note: Upon completion of the above, you will be responsible for making an appointment with the Canadian Embassy/Consulate to acquire a TRV.

Are there shuttle buses available to the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre from the hotels?
Shuttle transportation will be available from the official Partner Summit hotels to/from the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel and The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel are adjacent to the convention centre. Most of the other official Partner Summit hotels are walking distance. The shuttle schedule for Partner Summit 2005 will be available in early March. Please check back later.

How long does it take to get to/from the airport and how much does it cost?
It takes approximately 30 minutes and about USD$ 25.00 (CAD$45.00) via taxi to get from the airport to the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Partner Summit hotels within Vancouver; The Airporter shuttles take approximately 45 minutes and cost about USD$ 10.00 (oneway), USD$ 18.00 (roundtrip ticket) per person, each way.

Taxi drivers in Vancouver will accept most global currencies (US Dollars, Euros, etc.), but will refund any change due from the fare in Canadian dollars.
