Cisco Partner Summit


When and where is the event taking place?
The Cisco Partner Summit is April 29 - May 2, 2002 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida, USA.

What if I have questions about the Partner Summit or my registration?

When will I receive confirmation of my registration?
An email confirmation will be sent to you as soon as your attendance has been approved and, if requested, your hotel reservation has been confirmed.

What if I need to cancel my conference registration and/or hotel reservation?

You must notify the Partner Summit Registration Team no later than 72 hours prior to departure. If the notice is less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival, a hotel cancellation charge may apply. Cancellation policy for Gaylord Palms and Orlando World Center Marriott is 72 hours prior to arrival.

The Gaylord Palms requires a room deposit to secure reservations. Your credit card will be charged a deposit equal to one night's stay, and upon check-in shall be applied to the first night's stay. If cancellation is received 72 hours prior to arrival, the deposit will be refundable.

Are substitutions allowed?
The Cisco Partner Summit 2002 is an "invitation only" event. Substitutions will only be allowed after approval by the Cisco Channel Team. This approval will happen after registration occurs and you will be notified by email by the Partner Summit Registration Team.

May I register on behalf of another person?
Yes, you may register another person if they have been invited to attend the event. Ensure that each eligible person is registered separately via the web registration system.

Do I need to wear my badge during the whole Summit?
Please wear your conference badge to all group functions and meetings so that you can be readily identified as an attendee of the Cisco Partner Summit 2002.

Please be assured that every precaution possible is being taken to ensure a safe and secure working environment at the Cisco Partner Summit. As such, please be aware that we will be asking for photo identification at registration before releasing a conference badge. Badges will need to be worn during the entire event.

Can I bring a guest? What functions are guests allowed to attend?
Spouses or Guests may attend Monday evening's Theatre Banquets and Wednesday evening's Global Party. Breakfasts, lunches, and breaks are limited to conference attendees only. Sessions, networking activities (golf and Orlando tour), and the executive exchange forum are limited to partner attendees only!

Due to regulations pertaining to alcohol service, children or guests under the age of 21 years old will not be admitted to all Partner Summit activities.

What sessions are available during the event?
On Tuesday, April 30, there will be Global General Sessions for the general audience. On Wednesday, May 1, there are Theatre Sessions, which are dedicated to specific geographic regions. Executive Breakout Sessions are also scheduled for Wednesday. Monday, April 29, will be dedicated to Executive Networking Activities; there are no sessions to attend that day. More information on sessions will be provided on the registration form.

What should I wear to the Cisco Partner Summit 2002?
Business casual attire is appropriate for meetings and the Executive Exchange Forum. We prefer jackets for the Theatre Banquets on Monday evening. The Global Party on Wednesday evening will be at Universal Studios Theme Park - Dress casually.

What should I wear if I'm playing golf?
The courses we are using require collared shirts and walking type shorts/slacks. All courses are soft spiked, and any soft-soled shoe can be worn.

Can I get copies of the material presented at the conference?
The presentations will be posted approximately one week after the Partner Summit to the website where you originally registered: http://www.cisco.com/go/partnersummit.

What language is spoken?
The official language spoken in the USA is English. The official language of the conference is English and all sessions will be presented in English. Translations services will be provided in Japanese and Mandarin for some sessions.

What can I find in the Internet Stations?
New to this year's event are Internet Stations where you are able to access an on-line program guide with detailed information regarding the Partner Summit. You can also check your email accessible over a web browser; utilize the message board to send or read messages from your colleagues; and complete the on-line overall evaluation form, where you will receive a special gift if completed.
