Christian Rupp is the Austrian Federal Executive Secretary for E-Government since 2003 and as the E-Business representative of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber from 1994-2003 Christian Rupp is the driving force behind information society awareness activities in Austria.
Before his appointment as the Austrian Federal Executive Secretary for EGovernment by the Austrian Chancellor in 2003 he held also positions in the chamber organization as Vice Director of Communications/Marketing Department and Deputy Manager International Technology and Know-How Transfer.
Christian Rupp is the author of various publications and articles about new technology and new media aspects in modern business development and communications as well as new public management. As an expert in various e-fields he is an evaluator and external supervisor on some eEurope initiatives for the European Commission as well as member of the eEurope Advisory Group, the ESkills Taskforce, the IDABC management committee and the Pan-European EGovernment management committee.
He is also a Member of the Grand Jury World Summit Information Society eContent Award 2003 and the Austrian National Award for Multimedia and E-Business since 1997 as well as the Austrian National Marketing Award since 2000, and some other awards.
In the last ten years Christian Rupp acts as a keynote speaker at various international conferences and is among others adjunct lecturer at the Vienna University of Economic and Business Administration.
