Problem Description

MGX 5.1.20 bundles have shipped with incorrect RPM-PR and RPM-XF images, which are missing 12 bug fixes.

Background

Incorrect RPM-PR and RPM-XF images were bundled with MGX 5.1.20 software.

Problem Symptoms

Expected fixes aren't included in the RPM-PR or RPM-XF bundled images.

Workaround/Solution

All releases after 5.1.20 for RPM-PR and RPM-XF images will no longer be bundled with MGX software, they need to be downloaded separately from the IOS download site, and the specific release number for the bundle is in the Release Note.

Note: Specifically for 5.1.20, RPM-PR and RPM-XF images are 12.3(11)T6.

How To Identify Hardware Levels

The actual filename for the IOS images ends with a ".fc2" after decompressing .tar files or unzipping the bundles. For example rpm-js-mz-123-11.T6.fc2. This saves time as there is no need to upgrade the RPM to identify if it is the wrong image.
