ICM 4.6.2 |
When upgraded from 4.5.x |
Problem Description
After the Intelligent Contact Management (ICM) is upgraded to 4.6.2, previously active scripts with a Calling Line ID (CLID) node that are associated with a master script will fail unless the CLID node formula is edited.
Background
The cause of the script failure has been established as a failure in the upgrade routine between 4.5.x and 4.6.2, where a new naming standard for scripts should have been communicated and implemented. The issue occurs due to an unusual, yet supported manner. The configuration is as follows:
-
ICM 4.5.x system
-
Running a script uses a formula which points to a default script and has a single backslash in the node
-
Is upgraded to ICM 4.6.2
-
The script validation process will fail
The primary example found was the use of a MasterScript type variable. The reason this problem was experienced is that there is an implementation error in the CLID node which causes the automatic update not to occur when a specific type of user variable is used in a CLID expression.
Problem Symptoms
Router reports unable to complete script load warning with script ID. Script will fail with CLID error:
Undefined symbol Master Script\.
Workaround/Solution
Every CLID node in every script that touches the master script and has one backslash (\) in the formula, which was the format prior to Version 4.6, now needs a double backslash (\\) in Version 4.6 and later ICM releases.
The CLID node formula can be manually edited to change the single backslash to a double backslash using the script editor for all CLID nodes which use a master script variable. A detailed procedure is documented in the ICM Upgrade Guide.
