All versions running on Solaris 7 and 8 |
Problem Description
After applying Solaris patch 108434-11 on Solaris 8 or patch 106327-18 on Solaris 7, DIServer, IcServer, and all of the availability applications will fail to run. The process status is reported as:
Process = DIServer State = Failed to run Pid = 0 RC = 0 Signo = 10 Start = 04/24/03 17:27:11 Stop = 04/24/03 17:27:11 Core = Not applicable Info = Application failed or was registered incorrectly.
Workaround/Solution
There is no workaround other than backing out 108434-11 (Solaris 8) or 106327-18 (Solaris 7). Earlier versions of the patch down to -06 (Solaris 8) and -12 (Solaris 7) have been tested, and are known to work. If backing out the patch is not possible, the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) has a known good copy of the library that is causing the crash.
