Problem Description
Cisco inadvertently reshipped approximately 1,883 power adapters that were a part of a previous recall for a potential safety hazard. These power adapters were shipped worldwide with Cisco 826, 827, 827-4V, SOHO 76, and SOHO 77 ADSL routers between April 5, 2002, and May 2, 2002.
Previously, Cisco had determined that the affected power adapters could overheat, potentially leading to a fire hazard or electric shock hazard and Cisco received one report of a power adapter overheating.
The affected power adapters can be identified by the adapter Part Number located directly under the Cisco Systems logo on the upper left corner of the power adapter label. The affected power adapters contain the part number "P/N: 34-0949-02" in silver letters on a black background. Cisco is recalling and replacing these 1883 power adapters.
