Problem Description
With a system in a Y-cable configuration, the customer may see a momentary disruption in the data transmitted by the primary 15540-TSPx-xxxx module if the Y-cable remains connected to both primary and back-up transponders during removal or insertion of the backup transponder module.
Background
The probability for occurrence is rare and has only been reported by one customer.
Problem Symptoms
In a Y-cable configuration, a momentary disruption in the data transmitted by the primary 15540-TSPx-xxxx= module may occur after a backup 15540-TSPx-xxxx= module is inserted into the system.
Workaround/Solution
It is recommended that, when using the 15540 in a Y-Cable configuration, prior to removal or insertion of a transponder module, the Y-cable be disconnected from the transponder modules. Failure to follow this guideline can result in corruption of the transmit data stream due to the immediate transmit event that occurs upon insertion of the backup module.
