Running software image 3.1(1) released to Cisco.com on Friday, October 18, 2002. |
Problem Description
Customers who upgrade their Content Switch Module (CSM) image to 3.1(1) and who are using the CSM for Firewall Load Balancing (FWLB) will experience ICMP probe failures causing the FWLB setup to fail. The probes used in the FWLB configuration do not function properly. All other configurations and network topologies are not impacted by this issue and function properly.
Problem Symptoms
All probes configured to the firewalls will fail upon software upgrade.
Workaround/Solution
Do not upgrade to the CSM 3.1(1) image posted to Cisco.com on Friday, October 18, 2002.. A new CSM 3.1(1) image will be posted to Cisco.com the week of October 28, 2002, containing the properly functioning FWLB probes.
