Reverting to Broadcast Server software version 3.2 after upgrading to version 3.4 |
Problem Description
IPTV software version 3.2 fails to load Optibase drivers.
Background
Customers who downgrade from version 3.4 to version 3.2 experience problems getting the version 3.2 server to start.
Problem Symptoms
Version 3.2 software fails to load Optibase drivers. This occurs on systems with or without the Optibase card.
Workaround/Solution

Uninstall IPTV server from Add/Remove programs under Control Panel.

Manually delete the file C:\winnt\system32\drivers\winopti.sys or its equivalent.

Install IPTV Version 3.2 software.

Reboot.
After you reboot, this message may be displayed on the 3412, 3417, 3424, 3425, 3425A, or 3432:
At least one driver failed at system startup
This message applies to the cdralw2k process, which is a CD driver not used in the 3400 series servers. This message should be ignored. The system operates normally.
