CiscoWorks Routed WAN (RWAN) Management Solution 1.1 (subcomponents: nGenius RTM 1.2, CD One 4th Edition), CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution (LMS) 1.1 (subcomponents: nGenius RTM 1.2, CD One 4th Edition), and CiscoWorks LMS 2.0 (subcomponents: nGenius RTM 1.2, CD One 4th Edition)
The nGenius RTM 1.3 Update Kit is now available to order, as is the CD One 4th Edition Java Patch Update. The order in which the CD One Java Patch update is applied and installed is critical when used in conjunction with the nGenius RTM 1.2 product.
The previous release of RTM 1.2 is not compatible with the JRE updates provided in the CD One Java Patch Update. RTM 1.3 supports both JRE 1.3.0.01 and 1.3.1 releases. Customers using RTM 1.2 should follow the installation order outlined in the Workaround/Solution section of this notice, as well as details provided in the Update Kit documentation and PDF files found on the Update Kit CDs.
Obtain the nGenius RTM 1.3 Update Kit, part number CWRTM-1.3-UPT either through Cisco's Upgrade Tool for current RWAN and LMS Software Application Support (SAS) customers, or by normal Cisco Sales Channel for non-SAS customers.
It is recommended that the CD One Java Patch Update be applied first to all CD One, 4th Edition installations, then apply the RTM 1.3 maintenance updates following the patch update installation. Once the CD One Java Patch update is applied, the previous versions of RTM 1.2 are not guaranteed to be fully compatible, and Cisco will no longer support this configuration. Customers using RTM must update their RTM 1.2 installations with the 1.3 maintenance release in order to maintain compatibility with their current RWAN and LMS bundle components and continued product and technical support by Cisco.
