Problem Description
Cisco IOS® Software Releases 12.1(1)DB and 12.1(1)DC are being replaced with 12.1(1)DB1 and 12.1(1)DC1.
Background
DDTS detailed below prompted the deferral of the images.
Cisco recommends that Cisco IOS Release 12.1(1) DB1 is used concurrently with Cisco IOS Release 12.1(1) DC1 for the Cisco 6400 node route processor (NRP).

Workaround/Solution
No Workaround.
Cisco has removed the affected images from CCO and new orders as of August 8, 2000.
Use Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)DB1 and 12.1(1)DC1 images for the Cisco 6400 NSP and NRP.
Upgrade both NSP and NRP:
-
NSP to 12.1(1)DB1 and
-
NRP to 12.1(1)DC1
-
12.1(1)DC1 and 12.1(1)DB1 must operate concurrently.
