Problem Description
Holes on rackmount brackets for the 2RU (rackmount unit high 2900XLs and 2828) were drilled incorrectly. They do not line up with the holes on the equipment racks.
Background
During manufacturing, the holes in the rackmount brackets were incorrectly drilled from the beginning of July 2000 until the end of August 2000. During the month of production, 10,000 accessory kits were affected.
A hard tool was created and the holes are drilled correctly now.

Problem Symptoms
The holes on the brackets do not align with the equipment racks.
Workaround/Solution
Replace the rackmount brackets by submitting a return materials authorization (RMA) through Cisco Technical Support.
