  • Sustaining Phase. On 11/26/08, the Global Time Zone - Daylight Saving Time (GTZ/DST) program entered its Sustaining phase, resulting in reduced activity on this program.
The email alias dst-us@cisco.com, the Global Daylight Saving Time & Timezone Program wiki (http://zed.cisco.com/confluence/pages/editpage.action?pageId=29098067), and the Daylight Saving Time (DST) Changes website (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_tech_note09186a008094fef5.shtml) are available for ongoing communication.
Pakistan introduces Daylight Saving Time (DST) on June 1, 2008. Beginning on June 1, 2008, Pakistan observes Daylight Saving Time (DST) for at least 90 days. Pakistan’s federal cabinet announced a new conservation plan to reduce load-shedding, approving the closure of commercial centers at 9 pm and moving clocks forward by one hour from June 1, 2008 through October 31, 2008. These changes might affect basic operations of many Cisco products. The workaround for Pakistan is to use a Greenwich Mean Time time zone that includes Almaty or Dhaka (GMT+6).

These changes might affect basic operations of many Cisco products. The workaround for Morocco is to use the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) time zone that includes Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Lisbon.
  • Australia to implement Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes beginning April 2008. Refer to Australia Daylight Saving Time (DST) Changes for 2008 for more information.
  • United States 'springs forward' this year on the 2nd Sunday in March 2007. Refer to U.S. Daylight Saving Time Changes for 2007 for more information.
  • Brazil, Chile, and Guatemala to implement DST changes soon. Cisco is evaluating the impact to the Cisco product lines and will publish solutions and workarounds as soon as possible. Check back frequently for updates.
