To serve customers effectively and conduct your business without interruption, you must provide reliable communications tools to branch office and teleworker staff at all times. Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony fulfills this need.

Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony is a unique feature set embedded in the software running on Cisco routers. It takes advantage of a remote office's existing network to provide multi feature call-processing redundancy for centralized Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition deployments for up to 1200 users per site if the office's or the teleworker's home WAN connection is lost.

Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony provides:

  • Business resiliency through redundant, localized call processing
  • Intelligent and automatic failover configuration without manual IT or telecom intervention
  • Cost-effective operations through a converged voice and data network
  • Centralized IP telephony configuration and management
  • Investment protection and ease of migration

Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony is available with the 880, 1861, 2800 Series, and 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers and 2900 Series, and 3900 Series Integrated Services Router Generation 2 platforms. Additional hardware is not required.
