Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3(8)YA is an ED release (XED) based upon Cisco IOS Software 12.3(8)T maintenance release.

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(8)YA is an XED (or specific technology early release). This release introduces two new features:

  • DYNDNS

  • Disable Password recovery for the Cisco 828, 83x and SOHO9x platforms

Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before it is deployed in a production network.
