This article is one in a series to assist in the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Cisco Small Business products.

Q. How to set up WVC200 with a Cisco Small Business Wireless Router?

A.

Step 1:
Connect the Linksys Wireless Camera directly to the Router.

Step 2:
Check the camera LCD for its IP address.

Accessing the Camera's Web-Based Setup Page

Step 3:
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.


Step 4:
Go to the Address bar and enter your camera's IP address (e.g."192.168.1.103") then press [Enter].

Step 5:
Under the set up tab you can also configure the wireless settings for your Camera.

Note: Make sure to match the camera's wireless settings to your Linksys Router.

Step 6:
Type the Router's IP on your Browser.

Accessing the Router's Web based Set up page

A.?Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.
B.?Go to the Address bar and enter your Router's IP address ("192.168.1.1" is the default IP address of most Linksys routers) then press [Enter}

Step 7:
When the router's web-based setup page appears, click Wireless.

Step 8:
Look for Wireless Network Name (SSID) and if it's still set to "linksys", change it to something unique and take note if Wireless SSID Broadcast is set to Enable.

Step 9:
Unhook the Ethernet cable between the Router and the camera.

Step 10:
Congratulations you're camera is ready to use.
