Recording Motion Detection on the WVC200 Using the Linksys Surveillance Utility

If you do not have a valid SMTP server and email account to specify, you may use dummy settings for the email alerts. To modify these settings, follow the steps below:

Step 1:
On the camera's configuration interface, check Enable E-mail Alert and set a Motion Detection Area (adjust the threshold as needed).

Step 2:
Specify Send To and Show From as email addresses. These don't have to be valid email accounts; however, you must follow the syntax user@domain.com.

Step 3:
Enter an SMTP Mail Server address.

Note: The mail server doesn't have to be valid, you may use an IP address or a hostname - Authentication doesn't need to be enabled.
