The Cisco MDS 9124 24-Port Multilayer Fabric Switch is a flexible, highly available, and highly secure solution that offers outstanding value for mission-critical deployments. Affordable and easy to use, the MDS 9124 comes in a compact, one rack-unit (1 RU) form factor.
This new switch features 24 ports capable of speeds of 4, 2, and 1 Gbps. It supports the same industry-leading Cisco MDS 9000 NX-OS software that is supported on the entire Cisco MDS 9000 family of products.
Minimal Configuration and Easy Activation
The Cisco MDS 9124 features a quick configuration wizard that simplifies and accelerates the initial fabric activation. It requires no special training to operate, and offers flexible, on-demand port activation. Ports can be activated in eight-port increments through software licensing. The default base switch has eight active ports.
