Cisco Trade-In Program

A Technology Migration Plan has been established for the VIP2-50. The Cisco Technology Migration Plan is an innovative, industry first, sales program that allows customers to trade in Cisco products to receive a trade-in credit towards the purchase of any new Cisco product. The program underscores Cisco's commitment to the customer in terms of end-to-end product solutions as well as emphasizing to the customer Cisco's commitment to provide effective migration options in the face of ever changing network requirements. More specifics about this program can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/go/tradein

Support Programs

End of sale refers to the time when certain products are no longer available for new purchases. It does not apply to the service and support programs for those products. Cisco will continue to support the VIP2-50 after EOS through the SMARTnet and comprehensive maintenance programs. Customers with either of these service contracts are entitled to free software updates, 24-hour phone support through the Technical Assistance Center, and advance replaced hardware for repairs. Comprehensive maintenance customers also receive onsite service. Customers who do not have a maintenance contract can purchase software updates and hardware repair services from Cisco to meet specific requirements rather than full-service coverage. Cisco is committed to providing software support for a minimum of two years and providing hardware support for five years after the EOS date.
