This document provides the process for making a console connection to the Secure Content Accelerator and Secure Content Accelerator 2 (SCA and SCA2) 11000.

This document is not restricted to specific software and hardware versions.
The information presented in this document was created from devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If you are working in a live network, ensure that you understand the potential impact of any command before using it.
Solutions
Solution 1 (Versions Prior to 3.10)
If you are using versions of SCA prior to 3.10, the connection settings should be as follows:

115200 baud
-
8 data bits
-
no parity
-
1 stop bit
-
no flow control
A null modem is used to connect to the console port. For more information, refer to Using the QuickStart Wizard.
Solution 2 (Versions 3.10 and Later)
If you are using versions of SCA that are 3.10 (and later) or SCA2, the connection settings should be as follows:

9600 baud
-
8 data bits
-
no parity
-
1 stop bit
-
no flow control
A null modem is used to connect to the console port. For more information, refer to Using the QuickStart Wizard.
Note: In version 3.10, the terminal baud non-privileged command was added to allow selection of 1200-115200.
Note: The current baud setting can be verified with the show terminal non-privileged command
