Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® 15600-R1.1.1SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.1 and SF15600-R1.1.1. The last day to order the Cisco 15600-R1.1.1SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.1, and SF15600-R1.1.1 is February 28, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until February 28, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco 15600-R1.1.1SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.1, and SF15600-R1.1.1. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco 15600-R1.1.2SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.2, and SF15600-R1.1.2, which is the next release of software for the ONS15600. Information about the replacement product can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/ong/15600/index.htm (will be added when FCS'd) Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the Cisco 15600-R1.1.1SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.1, and SF15600-R1.1.1 to the 15600-R1.1.2SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.2 and SF15600-R1.1.2 respectively.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
The recommended replacement for the Cisco 15600-R1.1.1SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.1, and SF15600-R1.1.1 is to 15600-R1.1.2SWCD, 15600-LIC-R1.1.2 and SF15600-R1.1.2 (Table 3). The migration for existing R1.1.1 customers is to upgrade to R1.1.2 software. This can be accomplished by downloading the maintenance release and following the software update procedure. R1.1.2 is being provided to eliminate the required R1.1.1 cisco15 user account and 15600-FTA2 functionality.
