EOL for Cisco ONS 15454 Configured-Bay Assemblies, Ver 4SA-1BNC

Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® ONS 15454 configured-bay assemblies with part numbers 15454-4SA-1BNC1 and 15454-0SA. The last day to order these Cisco ONS 15454 configured-bay assemblies is April 2, 2004. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until April 2, 2009. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates and Table 2 lists the product part numbers for the products affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco ONS 15454 configured-bay assemblies with part numbers 15454-4SA-1BNC-FL and 15454-0SA-FL, which provide an enhanced fuse and alarm panel with integrated low-voltage disconnect.
Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the end-of-life to the replacement configured-bay assemblies.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS

The recommended replacement for the Cisco ONS 15454 configured-bay assemblies with part numbers 4SA-1BNC1 and 0SA is the Cisco ONS 15454 configured-bay assemblies with part numbers 4SA-1BNC-FL and 0SA-FL (Table 3). The replacements provide an enhanced fuse and alarm panel with integrated low-voltage disconnect.
