EOS/EOL Cisco CSS 11501 Content Services Switch and the Cisco CSS 11500 Module [Cisco CSS 11500 Series Content Services Switches]

Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco CSS 11501 Content Services Switch with SSL and the Cisco CSS 11500 SSL Module.

The last day to order the affected product is November 10, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until November 10, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco CSS 11501 Switch with integrated SSL and HTTP compression and the Cisco CSS 11500 SSL Module with Compression. These two new products deliver higher SSL performance and can support HTTP compression. Table 2 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement product.

The recommended replacement for the Cisco CSS 11501 Content Services Switch with SSL and the Cisco CSS 11500 SSL Module is the Cisco CSS 11501 Switch with Compression and CSS 11500 SSL Module with Compression.
