Key capabilities include up to 24 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for local computers, IP phones, cameras, POS machines, and other IP devices, and up to 8 Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports.
WAN features
Capabilities include Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet with the Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) option, and xDSL for WAN connectivity. Backup WAN technologies are available on certain models.
Mobility
The 890 Series has autonomous and unified Wi-Fi options for Wi-Fi in the home or office and support for dual-radio 802.11a/b/g/n.
3G, 4G LTE
These include support for 4G, 3.7G, 3.5G, and 3G connectivity options. 4G or 3G is available for most regions and countries.
Security
Zone-Based Firewall blocks unwanted traffic; FLEX VPN, GET VPN, and dynamic multipoint VPN provide secure IPsec traffic encryption and corporate data privacy; and intrusion prevention system protects from known signature-based malware.
Cisco Cloud Web Security Services
Services provided include content filtering and URL allowlisting; also application visibility and control (AVC) for a complete view of applications running in the network and their utilization rate.
