Symptom:
UCCE 12.6.2 allows you to do Digital Channel Integration with agents for email:

This allows you to enter an agent's email address in Agent Explorer. This field
does not accept the agent's email if you have two periods in the email address,
such as: firstname.MI.lastname@example.com An email with a single period works,
such as: firstname.lastname@example.com Furthermore, the error message you
receive when you enter a problem email address has a blank field value. It
states: Incorrect data has been detected. Invalid Email address Data location:
Agent Field: Note that multiple period characters are allowed in email
addresses, as long as they are not the first or last
character and you do not have two consecutive periods. This is per RFC 3696:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3696#section-3 This issue prevents the
configuration of users on UCCE.
Conditions: Trying to enter an email address with multiple period
characters under Agent Explorer.
Workaround: Use an email address with zero or one period characters if
possible.
