Additionally,
there are two registry entries that the workaround in this ES makes
use of:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Cisco
Systems,
Inc.\ICM\ucce\<PGxA>\PG\CurrentVersion\OPC
Name: ConfigPGRetryCount
Purpose:
Indicates how many retries to be done before restarting or generating
a SNMP trap.
Default value: 12 (2 minutes with the default
config PG timeout)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Cisco
Systems, Inc.\ICM\ucce\<PGxA>\PG\CurrentVersion\OPC
Name:
DisableRestartAfterPGConfigFails
Purpose: If enabled indicates
to restart the PG if the predefined Config PG request
timeouts.
Default: 0 → enables the restart.
To uninstall this patch, go to Control Panel.
Select "Add or Remove Programs".
Find the installed patch in the list and select "Remove".

Caveats are ordered by severity then defect number.
Defect Number: CSCvs30170
Component: pg.opc, logger
Severity: 1
Headline:
Router not making PGs to
operational even after received RC and PD service register
Symptom:
Call routing from VRU and Media Routing
Peripheral Gateway is impacted. The calls will be routed to
survivability. The Peripheral Gateway will show Active status but
fails to communicate with Router and route calls.
Conditions:
This problem is seen after
simultaneous failure of both private and public network which is not
a supported use case. PG fails to recover after network failure. This
problem is mainly seen on VRU and Media Routing Peripheral Gateways,
but it may occur on Agent PG as well.
Workaround:
Design the networking
infrastructure as per the UCCE design guide and avoid both public and
private network failure simultaneously. If
this problem occurs, restart the Peripheral Gateway service manually.
