Headline: Add support for agent with two phones with same ACD extension
Please Note: This ES is mandatory for the ACD shared line feature to work in release 12.5(1), as it provides fixes for third party requests on shared lines. Also, it requires a registry configuration to prevent un-intentional use of the feature in 12.5(1).
This ES provides support for shared ACD lines between two devices. One typical agent use case is using a physical phone at the office (possibly via extension mobility) and a Jabber device at home, both using the same extension. In the event that both devices are active on Unified Communication Manager (UCM) at the same time, an agent may still log into that extension. This ES provides a registry configuration to ensure shared line usage as desired and addresses some issues found with third party requests on shared lines in version 12.5.1.
UCM auto-answer is not supported when shared lines are in use, as UCM may answer the incorrect device. Therefore, a new concept of an 'active terminal' is utilized within the JTAPI GW. The 'active terminal' is defined as the last terminal which answered or placed a call on the shared line. When Desk Settings auto-answer is utilized (not recommended), or when answering directly from the Finesse desktop, the active terminal will be answered. Therefore, when more than one shared line is registered and active on UCM, the agent must answer (or place a call) on the desired terminal once in order for the system to select the active terminal. Subsequent calls can then be answered via the Finesse desktop.
