African Networking Academy Safari 2009

Accommodation arrangements for the duration of the conference must be arranged and paid for by each delegate (unfortunately there is no sponsorship available from Cisco).  We suggest that all out-of-town delegates to the African Academy Safari 2009 – Southern Africa – Port Elizabeth, stay at the hotels listed below, which are nearby the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) - Summerstrand North Campus. We will arrange transportation on the days of the conference departing from these hotels.  You are responsible for making your reservation directly with the hotel and may contact them at the information below:

The hotel is aware of the Cisco Systems conference, so make sure you indicate you are with the “Cisco Systems for the NMMU Conference” group when you reserve your room at the hotel. The hotels will only confirm bookings once they have received payment from you.

NB: Above Rates exclude a 1% tourism levy.

Rates are quoted in ZAR (South African Rand)
USD 1 = ZAR 9.93 (subject to exchange rate fluctuations)

Accommodation is for each delegate’s own account. Payment can be made by credit card, wire transfer, or cash. Please contact the hotel directly to arrange for this payment, or reserve your room online.

For a wire transfer please contact the hotels directly for their banking details (Name of account; Account number; Name of Bank; Bank Swift Code; Bank Routing/Branch Code and Name of Branch)

We ask that you arrange for your hotel reservation as soon as possible and cancel no later than 2 weeks prior to the event.  Please note that if you postpone cancellation within fourteen days of the event, you may be held liable for the cost of the room even if you are unable to arrive.

Please note: If you are seeking shared accommodation and are not travelling with another member of your Academy, we will try to link you to another participant seeking shared accommodation.  Please send an email with the subject line “African Academy Safari 2009 - Shared Accommodation Port Elizabeth” to Ms Heloise Levack (heloise.levack@nmmu.ac.za) and indicate your name and gender.  Please note that this cannot be guaranteed.
