We understand that there will be participants both from within Kenya and from surrounding countries and we wish you all a safe journey. Please check if you will need a visa for travel to Kenya. We suggest that you contact the nearest Kenyan consulate to verify whether or not this will be necessary. In most cases, you will be able to obtain your visa on arrival at the Mombasa International Airport or overland border. Customs and immigration officials are polite and efficient. If you require a visa, please start the visa application process immediately, since in some cases it may take weeks to obtain one. If you require an invitation letter in order to process your visa to Kenya, please indicate this when you register and also send an email with the subject line “African Academy Safari 2009 Visa Letter MOMBASA” to Hital Muraj (hmuraj@cisco.com).
