African Networking Academy Safari 2009

We understand that there will be participants both from within Kenya and from surrounding countries and we wish you all a safe journey.

Please check if you will need a visa for travel to Kenya.  We suggest that you contact the nearest Kenyan consulate to verify whether or not this will be necessary. In most cases, you will be able to obtain your visa on arrival at the Mombasa  International Airport or overland border. Customs and immigration officials are polite and efficient. If you require a visa, please start the visa application process immediately, since in some cases it may take weeks to obtain one.  If you require an invitation letter in order to process your visa to Kenya, please indicate this when you register and also send an email with the subject line “African Academy Safari 2009 Visa Letter MOMBASA” to Hital Muraj (hmuraj@cisco.com).  You must include the following information in your email.

Details as per passport:

Please verify that your country's currency can be exchanged into Kenyan Shilligs KES in Mombasa.  It is however advisable to arrange Travelers Cheques or US Dollars/British Pounds/Euros prior to your travel as these currencies can be exchanged for KES at the airport.
