This chapter contains commands to configure and maintain Cisco IOS voice applications. The commands are presented in alphabetical order. Some commands required for configuring voice may be found in other Cisco IOS command references. Use the command reference master index or search online to find these commands.

keepalive (cm-fallback)
To configure the time interval between sending keepalive messages to the router used by the Cisco IP phones when Survivable Remote Site (SRS) Telephony is enabled, enter the keepalive command in call-manager-fallback configuration mode. To reset to the default, use the no form of this command.

Usage Guidelines
This command configures the time interval between successive sending of keepalive messages to the router used by the Cisco IP phones. If the router fails to receive three successive keepalive messages, it considers the phone to be out of service until the phone reregisters.
Note The keepalive command is applicable only after a phone has registered with a router that has the SRS Telephony enabled.
Examples
The following example sets the keepalive timeout to 60 seconds:

Router(config-cm-fallback)# keepalive 60
