Gewone klok (OC) |
Een gewone kloktijd is een PTP-kloktijd met één PTP-poort. Het fungeert als een knooppunt in een PTP-netwerk en kan door de BMCA worden geselecteerd als een master of slave binnen een subdomein. Gewone klokken zijn het meest gebruikelijke kloktype op een PTP-netwerk omdat ze worden gebruikt als eindknooppunten op een netwerk dat is aangesloten op apparaten die synchronisatie vereisen. Gewone klokken hebben verschillende interface met externe apparaten. |
Grensklok (BC) | Een grensklok in een PTP-netwerk werkt in plaats van een standaard netwerkrouter of switch. De grensklokken hebben meer dan één PTP haven, en elke haven verleent toegang tot een afzonderlijke PTP communicatie weg. De grensklokken verstrekken een interface tussen domeinen PTP. Zij onderscheppen en verwerken alle PTP-berichten en gaan al het andere netwerkverkeer over. De grensklok gebruikt de BMCA om de beste klok te selecteren die door een poort wordt gezien. De geselecteerde poort wordt vervolgens als slaaf ingesteld. Controle van het bedieningspaneel
