Dit document beschrijft hoe u VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP) moet configureren.

De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op de apparaten in een specifieke laboratoriumomgeving. Alle apparaten die in dit document worden beschreven, hadden een opgeschoonde (standaard)configuratie. Als uw netwerk live is, moet u zorgen dat u de potentiële impact van elke opdracht begrijpt.

Achtergrondinformatie

VTP vermindert het benodigde beheer in een geschakeld netwerk. Wanneer u een nieuw VLAN op één VTP-server configureert, wordt het VLAN via alle switches in het domein gedistribueerd. Dit vermindert de noodzaak om hetzelfde VLAN overal te configureren. VTP is een bedrijfseigen protocol van Cisco dat beschikbaar is op de meeste Cisco Catalyst Series producten.

Opmerking: alleen geregistreerde Cisco-gebruikers kunnen toegang krijgen tot interne sites, tools en documenten.

Configureren

VTP-configuratierichtlijnen

Deze sectie bevat enkele richtlijnen voor de configuratie van VTP in een netwerk.

Alle switches hebben dezelfde VTP-domeinnaam, tenzij het netwerkontwerp verschillende VTP-domeinen vereist.

Opmerking: Trunk-onderhandeling werkt niet op meerdere VTP-domeinen. Raadpleeg de sectie Dataverkeer geblokkeerd tussen VTP-domeinen van VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) troubleshooten voor meer informatie.
Alle switches in een VTP-domein moeten met dezelfde VTP-versie werken.
Alle switches in een VTP-domein hebben hetzelfde VTP-wachtwoord, als er een is.
Alle VTP-serverswitches moeten hetzelfde configuratie-revisienummer hebben en ook het hoogste nummer in het domein.
Wanneer u een VTP-modus van een switch van Transparent naar Server verplaatst, moeten VLAN’s die op de VTP Transparent switch zijn geconfigureerd, op de Server-switch bestaan.

VTP-configuratie op Catalyst-switches

Deze sectie bevat een aantal basisopdrachten om VTP te configureren op de meestgebruikte Catalyst-switches.

Opmerking: De Catalyst 2948G-L3 en Catalyst 4908G-L3 Layer 3 (L3) switches bieden geen ondersteuning voor een aantal Layer 2 (L2) georiënteerde protocollen die op andere Catalyst-switches aanwezig zijn. Tot deze protocollen behoren VTP, DTP en het Port Aggregation Protocol (PAgP).

Catalyst 6500/6000 Series/Catalyst 4500/4000 Cisco IOS®-software (Supervisor Engine III/Supervisor Engine IV), Catalyst 2950, 3550 en 3750 Series Switches

Deze sectie beschrijft twee methoden die u kunt gebruiken om VTP te configureren. De beschikbaarheid van deze methoden kan afwijken van de versie van Cisco IOS®-software. Methode 1 is bijvoorbeeld niet beschikbaar op nieuwere versies van Cisco IOS, terwijl methode 2 (de globale configuratiemodus) niet beschikbaar is in eerdere software op Catalyst 6500 Series switches waarop Cisco IOS-software wordt uitgevoerd.

Methode 1, In de modus VLAN-database:

Met Cisco IOS-software kunt u de VTP-domeinnaam, de VTP-modus en de VLAN’s configureren in de VLAN-configuratiemodus.
1. Voer in de uitvoeringsmodus de volgende opdracht uit om in de VLAN-configuratiemodus te komen:

Methode 2, in globale configuratiemodus:

In de modus Global Configuration kunt u alle VTP-parameters configureren met opdrachten van Cisco IOS-software. Dit zijn de argumenten van de opdracht:

Opmerking: De Catalyst 2900XL Series switches met Cisco IOS-softwarerelease 11.2(8)SA4 en hoger ondersteunen het VTP-protocol. Cisco IOS-softwarerelease 11.2(8)SA3 en lager bieden geen ondersteuning voor het VTP-protocol op Catalyst 2900XL Series switches.

Praktische voorbeelden

Voorbeeld 1:

Dit voorbeeld omvat twee Catalyst 4500 switches die zijn verbonden via een TenGigabit Ethernet-link:

Switch-A is een nieuwe switch zonder VTP-domeinnaam en zonder VLAN. Switch-C is een switch die momenteel bestaat en met 16 VLAN’s wordt uitgevoerd in de VTP-domeintest.

In deze voorbeelduitvoer van de opdracht show vtp status, kunt u zien dat de VTP-versie standaard 1 is. En Switch-A is geschikt voor VTP V2. De switch voert VTP V2 in dit geval echter niet uit. De switch voert alleen VTP V2 uit als de V2 versie is geconfigureerd met de opdracht VTP versie 2. In dit voorbeeld is Switch-A geconfigureerd als VTP-client, is het ook belangrijk om ervoor te zorgen dat de aangesloten switch een Configuration Revision van 0 of minder waarde heeft dan de huidige VTP-server voordat deze in het netwerk wordt aangesloten:

Met debug ingeschakeld, kunt u zien dat Switch-A een summiere advertentie zonder volgers ontvangt. Daarom werkt Switch-A zijn domeinnaam bij en verstuurt reclameverzoeken om de VLAN-informatie te verkrijgen, zoals in deze voorbeelduitvoer wordt getoond:
