Inleiding
De opdracht afstandsbediening van kabelmodems is in Cisco IOS geïntroduceerd? IOS-softwarerelease 12.0(7)XR en 12.1(2)T. Met deze opdracht kunt u de prestatiestatistieken van de kabelmodem (CM) rechtstreeks vanuit het uBR Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) vragen.
Het idee is om de CM's periodiek te inroepen met behulp van Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) en om informatie in te delen, zoals IP-adres, MAC-adres, S/N-verhouding en Upstream Transmit Power op CMTS (zie uitvoer). Dit helpt u de status van één enkele modem te kennen en heeft een algemene status van de plant.

Conventies
Configureren
Op de kabelmodems moet een SNMP community string worden geconfigureerd. Dit wordt uitgevoerd volgens een van deze methoden:

Handmatige configuratie: de snmp-server community toevoegen<string>global Configuration-opdracht

Dwing de CM om een IOS configuratiebestand te downloaden via Data-over-Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS)
-
Configuratie van de CM gemeenschap via SNMP Object IDentifier (OIDs) die in het DOCSIS-configuratiebestand is gedefinieerd
In de CMTS moet u deze wereldwijde configuratieopdrachten configureren:

Opmerking: In 12.2(33)SC kunt u de snmp-server community <community string> RO niet configureren na afstandsbediening van kabelmodems <community string>. te configureren. Het is overbodig omdat IOS automatisch de gemeenschap toevoegt die in kabelmodems afstandsbediening <community string> als SNMP RO <community string>community- string wordt opgemerkt. Wanneer u probeert te configureren krijgt u de foutmelding die %Error zegt: Community <Name> bestaat reeds en wordt gebruikt voor de afstandsbediening van kabelmodems, moet u nieuwe community-string configureren voor SNMP-beheer.
De afstandsbediening van kabelmodems [pollingsinterval] [Community string] is waar [polling interval] het tijdinterval definieert waarin de query wordt uitgevoerd. Bijvoorbeeld, 30 betekent dat de query elke 30 seconden wordt uitgevoerd. [Community string] definieert het string van de gemeenschap.
Bij het configureren van een afstandsbediening van kabel moeten alle community strings overeenkomen:

Als de modem niet op SNMP vraag beantwoordt hebt u sommige eigenschappen nodig om te verifiëren:

Het bovenstaande bericht geeft aan dat de modem is gezocht, maar er is geen antwoord ontvangen. Zie het SNMP-niveau voor meer informatie:

Problemen oplossen
Het meest algemene probleem is dat het veranderen van de afstandsbediening van kabelmodems [pollingsinterval] [Community string] ervoor zorgt dat de opdracht faalt. Aanbevolen wordt om deze stappen te volgen:

Verwijder de opdracht zonder kabelmodem afstandsbediening.

Zet de opdracht opnieuw in.
Een ander probleem is wanneer het veranderen van de community string gedefinieerd met de opdracht snmp-server community <string>. Aanbevolen wordt om deze stappen te volgen:

Verwijder de afstandsbediening van kabelmodems [pollinterval] [Community string].

Verander de gemeenschapsstring.

Herstelt de afstandsbediening van kabelmodems [pollingsinterval] [Community string].
