Managing Director – East Region, Cisco Middle East

In his current role, Shukri heads Cisco’s business and operations across the UAE, Oman, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen. With a key focus on digitization and the Internet of Things, Shukri is helping to drive Cisco’s digital agenda, competitive positioning and business strategy across the markets he oversees.

A Cisco veteran of nearly 10 years, Shukri’s responsibilities include driving Cisco’s strategy across his markets to ensure execution on business objectives, in addition to forging close relationships with governments, customers and channel ecosystem partners. He is valued for building results-oriented and enthusiastic teams and as a hands-on client and partner executive. Shukri has established himself as a thought leader and agent of change in fast-evolving, dynamic markets, and is known for his deliberate, strategic approach to complex challenges, his authenticity and his people management skills.

Shukri has worked in several capacities across the organization and possesses deep industry knowledge and a profound appreciation for the impact and opportunities presented by digitization. Most recently, he was Senior Director at the Country Digitization Acceleration (CDA) team in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia and CIS. In this role, he worked with government and industry leaders to accelerate the national digitization strategies. Prior to that, he led a diverse team of senior consulting professionals as Director of Cisco Consulting Services in Emerging Markets.

Shukri is a Cisco Leadership Pipeline Program alumnus and has over 19 years of business and technology consulting experience, notably in strategy development and implementation. He worked with senior officials and executives to help them develop and lead digital transformation strategies and business models.

Prior to Cisco, Shukri held senior roles at IBM Global Business Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led high-profile strategy and IT transformational engagements in the Middle East and North Africa.

Shukri has a master’s degree in business administration from Strathclyde University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He has tutored EMBA students on Exploring International Business Environment and Future Scenarios Planning, and is a regular guest speaker at industry forums and academic institutions.

 

Fady Younes

In his current role, Fady leads the Sales Operations across 5 countries. Fady’s responsibilities include driving and forging close relationships with the government and private entities and ensuring that Cisco’s business objectives and goals are closely aligned.

Since joining Cisco in 2005 as a Senior Account Manager, Fady has held multiple responsibilities including UAE General Manager, Enterprise Sector Regional Sales Manager and Service Providers (Telco) Sector Regional Sales Manager. He led cross-functional engagements for multiple opportunities and built relationships across all levels. He also worked on multiple Smart City initiatives.

Prior to working for Cisco, Fady held a number of senior positions within the IT industry, including Sales Support Senior Manager Middle East and Africa for Nortel, and Product Manager for Ericsson.

Fluent in English, Arabic and French, Fady holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Scott leads Cisco’s Cyber Security Sales and Operations across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey region.

Scott’s primary focus is to enhance Cisco’s Security Architecture business by helping customers defend themselves before, during and after security incidents. Scott’s responsibilities include driving security product and services sales, marketing, thought leadership and forging strong partnerships with Cisco’s channel partners and System Integrators.  A key focus is aligning Cisco’s security organisation to capitalise on the company’s breadth of capability and credibility to address security as a fully integrated architecture, enabling Cisco’s customers to go faster and capture the opportunity of key market trends like digitisation.

Scott joined Cisco in September 2010 as Regional Manager for Emerging Markets taking Cisco’s Secure Next generation Data Center and Cloud Computing offerings in to the Middle East, Africa and Russian markets.

Over the last two year’s Scott led a team of sales specialists and consulting engineers to take the same innovative solutions and go-to-market structure that worked in Data Center for customers, across Cisco’s adjacent portfolios in Networking and Collaboration.

Scott has over 19 years of experience in Information Technology sales and consulting. His technology background includes Data Center Infrastructure, Security and Management, Middleware and Application technologies.

He is ITIL certified and versed in the principles of Business Service Management (BSM).
