Table 1 describes the configuration settings on the System Notifications page where you can configure your email settings (System Settings > System Notifications).

System Notifications Information
Enable Email Notification
When the check box is checked, the email notification feature is enabled.
Outgoing Email Server
Specify the IP Address (or hostname) of the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server.
Outgoing Email Server Port
Specify the Outgoing Email Server Port.
The default non-secure and secure port values are 25 and 465 respectively.
Use Secure Email
Check this check box if you want the system to send emails over a secured connection.
Sender Email Address
Specify the sender's email address who has a valid account with the SMTP server.
Sender Email Password
Specify the sender's email password who has a valid account with the SMTP server.
Recipient Email Address
Specify the email address of the recipient to whom the email notifications will be delivered.
You can add only one recipient to the Recipient address list, or a mail alias.
Send Test Email
Click Send Test Email if you want to validate the email notification settings before saving the settings. If you click this button, a test mail is sent to the recipient email address configured in the System Notifications page.
System Identification Information
This parameter provides a unique identifier for Cisco Business Edition 3000 server. You cannot edit this field in the System Notifications page.
Enter a valid parameter that comprises of (A-Z,a-z,0-9,.,-). The maximum length allowed is 63 digits.
The Save option will save the System Notifications configuration. However, it will give an option to test the configuration if not tested/validated earlier.
Click Reset to discard your changes and display the saved data.
