Installing ANSI Mounting Brackets on the ONS 15454 SDH Shelf

This document provides installation procedures for installing ANSI mounting brackets on the ONS 15454 SDH shelf, to install the shelf in a 19 in. or 23 in. ANSI rack (EIA 300). Use this document in conjunction with the Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Procedure Guide.

ANSI Rack Kit
The ANSI rack mounting kit for the ONS 15454 SDH shelf includes the following items.
•
Reversible, 19 in. or 23 in. brackets (2)
•
Pan Head M4.0 x 8mm mounting screws (12)
Install the Mounting Brackets
Step 1
Verify the rack size for your installation (19 in. or 23 in.)
Step 2
For 19 in. racks place the widest side of the bracket against the shelf assembly, with the narrow flange facing the front of the assembly. For 23 in. racks place the narrow side of the bracket against the shelf assembly with the wide flange facing the front of the assembly, See Figure 1.
Step 3
Align the mounting bracket screw holes against the shelf assembly screw holes according to Figure 1.
Step 4
Insert the screws (6 places) and tighten.
Step 5
Repeat for the other side of the assembly.
