Installing the Wall-Mount Bracket for the
Cisco ONS 15310-MA

This document explains how to install the Cisco ONS 15310-MA wall-mount bracket. It also contains a description of the wall-mount bracket, installation equipment and procedures, and a list of specifications. As appropriate, use this document in conjunction with the Cisco ONS 15310-CL and Cisco ONS 15310-MA Procedure Guide, the Cisco ONS 15310-CL and Cisco ONS 15310-MA Reference Manual, and the Cisco ONS 15310-CL and Cisco ONS 15310-MA Troubleshooting Guide when working with the wall-mount bracket.

Wall-Mount Bracket Description
The wall-mount bracket allows you to mount a single ONS 15310-MA chassis directly to a wall.

Note
Cisco does not provide hardware for securing the wall-mount bracket to the wall, but does provide a template for predrilling holes in the wall. Secure the wall-mount bracket according to your site plan instructions.
You can secure the wall-mount bracket to the wall in two orientation, such that, the chassis is mounted either flush to the wall (Figure 1) or offset from the wall (Figure 2). In both these orientation, you can mount the chassis facing either left or right. If you mount the chassis as shown in Figure 2, you can mount additional wall-mount brackets and chassis above the existing one without losing space.

Install the Wall-Mount Bracket and ONS 15310-MA
The following parts are required to install the wall-mount bracket and ONS 15310-MA:
•
#2 Phillips screwdriver
•
Four panhead screws, 10-32 x 0.31 in.
•
One wall-mount bracket
Step 1
Secure the wall-mount bracket to the wall in the desired orientation.
Step 2
Line up the four screw holes on the wall-mount bracket with the holes on the ONS 15310-MA chassis (Figure 1 or Figure 2).

Note
You can mount the chassis on the wall-mount bracket either facing left or right
Step 3
Install and tighten four panhead screws in the holes on the face of the wall-mount bracket.
