On the RV180 and RV180W, an administrator can make changes to the accounts of different users such as password and activating a guest account. The quest account has read-only access while the administrator account has read-and-write access. This article explains how to configure settings on the RV180 and RV180W Routers.

Step 1. Use the web configuration utility to choose Administration > Management Interface > User Accounts.
Step 2. (Optional) To enable passwords to expire after a certain amount of time check the Enable checkbox, and enter the expiration time in days in the Password Aging Field.
Step 3. (Optional) To activate the guest account, check the Guest User Login checkbox.
Step 4. Click Save if changes were made.
This procedure shows how to adjust settings for the administrator account.
Step 1. Click the Edit Admin Settings radio button.
Step 2. In the New Username field, enter a new username for the administrator account.
Step 3. In the Old Password field, enter the current password for the administrator.
Step 4. In the New Password field, enter a new password for the administrator account.
Step 5. In the Retype New Password field, enter the new password again to verify it.
Step 6. Click Save.
