CSCty22538 | DMP certificate expired |
The self signed certificate for firmware versions on various DMP systems expired on 24th February 2012 causing failure of communication between the DMM and DMP systems leading to content not playing on schedule.
The self sign certificate expiration causes communication failure between DMP and DMM systems. The DMP system shows status 'down' in the DMM GUI. Customer may observe that the scheduled content may not play on the DMP systems.
Starting 24th February 2012, the DMP and DMM system communication fails with DMP Manager UI reporting "HTTP status: 500 Unknown Exception: peer not authenticated" error message. DMP Manager UI reports DMP status as "down" and not play the content as scheduled.
Cisco recommends that customer applying the software fix to recover the self sign certificate expiration. Follow the steps outlined below:
Step1 : Log in to your Cisco.com account and then go to Software download URL below Software download URL Based on your DMP Software Release, go to All Release, then select '5' and the Release number. Download in the DMMnnn-patch-CSCty22538.iso row where nnn is the release number. For example: DMM522-patch-CSCty22538.iso is for Release 5.2.2. DMM53-patch-CSCty22538.iso is for Release 5.3 Note: Release 5.2.2.1 does not have a Patch, customer must use the Patch posted for Release 5.2.2 Step2: Follow the installation instructions provided in the README file below.
